Medicaid Statistics by County  

Contains Key Medicaid statistics about:
  • Enrollment,
  • Expenditures,
  • Medicaid healthcare providers, county-by-county,
  • County-level updates on our state's Medicaid reform effort, called South Carolina Healthy Connections, are also available.

Data will be updated on a semi-annual basis. All county level data could vary from final SFY 09 data due to payment adjustments, journal entries or recoupments.

  • Contracts with 78% of the state's nursing homes, and pays for 70% of the people in those facilities
  • Pays about 40,000 care providers for the vital services they provide
